Economically Beneficial and Environmentally Sound Resource Development
Welcome to the Red Mountain Underground Gold Project community website. The Red Mountain Underground Gold Project (the Project) is a proposed gold/silver mine located approximately 15 km northeast of Stewart, British Columbia. The Project is located on Crown land within the Nass Wildlife Area where the Nisga’a Nation holds Treaty rights.
The Red Mountain Underground Gold Project is being advanced by IDM Mining (IDM).
IDM believes in meaningful and respectful engagement with Aboriginal Groups and local communities in order to better understand and integrate communities’ feedback and concerns into its project planning and implementation, where feasible. It is IDM’s goal to maximize local benefits from the Project for the Nisga’a Nation and local communities nearest the Project.
IDM is looking forward to working with the Nisga'a Nation and the local communities on the development of the Red Mountain Underground Gold Project.
